Over the weekend, my husband and I decided to try a new recipe that was simple to make and made with ingredients we already had on hand. What was surprising about this recipe was the fact that it tastes delicous but yet only uses a few everyday ingredients.
For our side dishes, we choose to make garlic baked potatoes topped with sour cream and some steamed mixed vegetables. For dessert, we made a classic-style cheesecake which I will post that recipe in a few days.
Chicken Supreme Recipe
1/4 lb. dried beef
8 halved chicken breasts, skinned and deboned
4 slices bacon
1/2 pt. sour cream
1 can cream of chicken soup
Grease a 9 x 13" baking dish. Place 8 mounds of dried beef in the dish and top with the chicken breast halves. Place a half slice of bacon on each piece of chicken. Mix soup and sour cream together and pour over the chicken. Bake at 300 degrees F for 2 1/2 to 3 hours or until done. Makes 8 single servings.
